Welcome To JavaNIC
Thank you for choosing JavaNIC as your
service provider, all utilizing the advance server and world
famous
Apache and IIS web server and a customized version of Linux and
Windows OS. We
connect to the internet over Bell Atlantic's OC48 Sonet ring
connection. If you should have any questions use the contact emails below.
For support questions please always include your domain,
userid and a full description of the problem including any problems or errors that arise.
- Policies and Service Guidelines
Content:
All services may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission,
storage, or presentation of any information, data or material in violation
of any Indonesia, United States Federal, State or City law is prohibited.
This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material we
judge to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret
and other statute. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless
from any claims resulting from the use of the service which damages the
subscriber or any other party.
Note:
Pornography and sex-related merchandising are prohibited on all servers.
This includes sites that may infer sexual content, or link to adult content
elsewhere. This is also true for sites that promote any illegal activity or
content that may be damaging to our servers or any other server on the
internet. Links to such materials are also prohibited.
In addition
any site selling or promoting Bulk email services is not allowed

Bots
- Mp3
We will be
the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.
Traffic
Guidelines
Due to the unique resource characteristics and traffic patterns
associated with certain types of sites, the following are limited to 3 gigs
of free traffic per month:
- Sub
hosting - any domain housing additional users

Shareware, sound, video, image, multimedia and mp3 archives

Mirror sites or Sites with Banners, graphics or cgi's running from their
domain used on other domains.

Distribution points
- Any
site whose primary purpose is file distribution (This is any site where
20% or more of there monthly traffic is from file downloads)
- Sites
using more than 20% of system resources.
For those
of you who do not qualify, additional bandwidth usage over the amount
allotted in the hosting plan or the pre-arranged, pre-paid amount will be
billed at the end of that month to the pre-arranged credit account. Billing
of additional bandwidth usage is subject to all other terms of this
agreement and no refund will be given on the charges.
JavaNIC
will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this
provision.
CGI
Scripts
Each account comes with its own cgi-bin. You are free to use any CGI
scripts you wish, however we reserve the right to disable any CGI script
that effects normal server operation.
Chat
Rooms
We do not allow clients to install their own chat rooms. These tend to
be large system hogs and we cannot allow it as an account option.
Background Running Programs
We may allow programs to run continually in the background. These are
considered on a one to one basis and an extra charge will be incurred based
on system resources used and operational maintenance needed.
IRC
We currently do not allow IRC or IRC bots to be operated on our
servers.
Commercial Advertising - Email:
Our servers may not be the source, intermediary, or destination address
involved in the transmission of spam, flames, or mail bombs. Your domain may
not be referenced as originator, intermediary, or reply-to address in any
of the above. Advertising sites on other servers which in turn contain links
to a domain on our servers is prohibited. We consider spam any mass
unsolicited message in the mediums of Newsgroups and Email. If you are
found to have spammed, then we will immediately, without warning, disable
your domain. Lastly, we reserve the right to determine what violates this
policy.
As such, any violation will result in immediate deactivation of services
without refund.
Server Abuse:
Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to a server is strictly
prohibited.
The Client
agrees to reasonable server CPU, memory, as well as bandwidth determined by
JavaNIC.
The Client agrees that he or she has the necessary knowledge to create and
maintain their web-site. Client agrees that it is not the responsibility of
JavaNIC to provide this knowledge or Customer Support outside matter
specific to JavaNIC servers.
Terms and Termination
This agreement shall have an initial term of one month from the date of
execution hereof, unless otherwise specified by sign up request. Upon
expiration of such term, this agreement shall automatically renew for
successive equivalent periods, unless written notice is given by either
party of its intent to terminate the agreement, at least one week prior to
the scheduled termination date. All terms and conditions of this agreement
shall be in full force and effect during all original and renewal periods
hereunder. If User does not notify Provider of cancellation request at
least 7 days in advance of date of execution, the User will be responsible
for the payment due for the next equivalent period.
Refusal
of Service:
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service at our sole
discretion.
Disclaimer
JavaNIC will not be responsible for any damages your business may
suffer. JavaNIC makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for
services we provide. JavaNIC disclaims any warranty or merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from
delays, and any and all service interruptions caused by JavaNIC and its
employees. JavaNIC reserves the right to change or update policies without
notice
If any terms or conditions are failed to be followed it will result in
grounds for immediate account deactivation. |
